Personal Notes:
I had tried many different recipes for dumplings but could never find the right one. I had one from my Mom, lost it, found it when preparing this grimoire and included it. But this is the version I have been using for a few years.

I came across a recipe book from 1958 from The Masonic and Eastern Star home of the District of Columbia "EASTERN STAR - TREASURE OF RECIPES" somewhere. It has loose pages, added paper with recipes written on them, and a duct taped spine. I am a sucker for old cookbooks and this one was just screaming for me! I have found several recipes I like inside the battered cover of this beauty!

The original recipe for this is a drop dumpling.
"Stir until just thick enough to drop by small spoonful into boiling liquid. Cover tightly and boil for just 10 minutes. Lid must not be raised during the 10 minutes."
