1 lb. hot italian sausage, ground
½ lb. pepperoni, ground
1½ lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. ground basil
1½ tsp. parsley
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
3 tsp. salt
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
4 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste and water
3 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp. dried minced onions
1 large box lasagna noodles
6 eggs
3 large containers cottage cheese
1 c. grated parmesan cheese
4 add'l tbsp. parsley flakes
1 add'l tsp italian seasoning
2 add's tsp salt
½ tsp. pepper
2 lb. mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Mix all of the meat together and brown slowly. Spoon off excess fat. Add seasoning and tomatoe ingredients and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Beat eggs and add to them the cottage cheese, grated parmesan, 4 tbsp. parsley flakes, 1 tsp italian seasoning, 2 tsp salt, and ½ tsp pepper.

Put a few tablespoons of sauce in the bottom of the pan to keep noodles from sticking. Layer ⅓ of the noodles, ⅓ of the cheese mixture, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Repeat ending with noodles and mozzarella cheese. Bake at 375º for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Grandma Mary used to say, "that lasagna is so expensive to make! But it is so good!" We ground our own pepperoni in our famous meat grinder.
