Grape Pie Recipe

4 c. rinsed concord grapes
1 c. sugar
⅓ c. flour
tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter
9 inch unbaked pie shell

c. flour
c. sugar
c. butter

Slip skins from grapes. Set skins aside and bring pulp to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Pur through a sieve (strainer) to remove seeds.Add skins to strained pulp. Mix together 1 c. sugar, ⅓ c. flour, salt, lemon juice and 2 tbsp. butter. Add it to the grape mixture and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400 for 25 minutes.

While it bakes, sift c. flour and c. sugar together. Cut in c. butter till crumbly. Sprinkle on pie and bake 15 additional minutes. (Place on foil or cookie sheet as it will melt and run over your oven)
