1 lb. margarine
4 eggs
1 large cake of yeast (or 3 pkgs)
1⅓ c. scalded milk (cooled)
7-8 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
First put yeast into 1/3 c. of the milk, warmed to luke warm and let rise. Cream butter until fluffy adn add sugar & salt and beat. Add eggs adn beat. Add flour and milk. Mix well. Knead on well floured (mix a little powdered sugar in flour) board. Knead just enough to hold together. put in ice box over night.

When rolling out use a small handful at a time. Keep rest in ice box. Roll amount the size of a hickory nut(smaller than an english walnut) and roll out paper thin. Spread on thin layer of of nut filling and roll up. Brush with beaten egg white. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes or until brown.

1 1/2 lb. nuts (mix English & Black walnuts chopped very fine. (If you don't have black walnuts a 1 tsp. of black walnut flavoring to the butter.
1/4 c. butter (melted)
1 c. sugar
