1 cup Butter
1 ½ cups Sugar
½ cup Molasses
2 Eggs
4 cups Flour
2 ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
2 ¼ teaspoons Ginger
1 ½ teaspoons Ground Cloves
1 ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
½ teaspoons Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream Butter and Sugar until fluffy. Add Molasses and Eggs. Sift and combine remaining ingredients in separate bowl. Combine all ingredients until just mixed (DO NOT OVER MIX!) Roll individual balls into plenty of Sugar and bake for 12 - 13 minutes at 350 degrees.

These are probably one of my most popular cookies in our family. The batches had to be doubled and tripled because friends were addicted and if we made them we had to give some away to the addicts. [editor note: When I was in high school these were so popular among my friends that when my mom made them she'd send me to school with a giant bag that I'd tote around and hand them out like I was Santa Claus.]
