Personal Notes:
This recipe popped up in the 1990's. Granny would serve at potlucks. She modified a version found in a newspaper by simplifying the measurements and omitting red onions and raisins. The original version also called for pecans, but Granny loved using toasted almonds in her salad recipes.

Version #2 was served at her Red Hatter's luncheon in 2003.

This recipe can be modified in many ways and is currently a staple for our Thanksgiving meals. Aunt Danna's version is yummy and in great demand at all our holiday family gatherings.
