Directions: |
Directions:Combine the dipping sauce ingredients and set aside. Start a large pot of water to boil. Combine the filling ingredients. Brush a little water on the edges of wrappers. Place about 2 teaspoons filling in the center. Fold in half and press to seal, making sure to squeeze out any air. Stand the dumplings up on the folded side and press slightly so that they stand up nicely. When water is boiling, drop in the dumplings (not too many at a time, or they will start sticking together). Boil till done (about 5 minutes). Drain well. The dumplings may be frozen at this point in time for future use. Heat a skillet with about 2 tablespoons oil and fry the dumplings on one side only, until nicely browned. Drain on paper towels. Serve with the dipping sauce. |
