Ingredients:  
1 C. Crisco (not butter)
2 C. Sugar
3 C. Flour
4 Eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C. Buttermilk
1 tsp. Lemon Flavoring (or lemon juice)

Crisco Frosting:
3 T. Crisco
tsp. Salt
1 Egg White
2 C. Confectioner's Sugar
3 T. Milk or Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325

Cake:
Cream Crisco and sugar well. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour & soda together. Add flour alternately with milk. Add flavoring.

Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes

Frosting:
Blend Crisco, salt, egg white & 1 C. sugar. When smooth add remainder of sugar alternately with cream. Beat until thick and add vanilla.
