Cookie Dough


Ingredients:

1 c. oleo (margarine)
1½ c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3½ c. flour (sifted)
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together oleo (margarine), sugar and eggs. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 375º for 6 to 8 minutes until brown. These freeze well, require no chilling and are good and quick for kids to make for Christmas.
 

Icing

1/4 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
2 egg whites (don't beat)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 to 2 tsp. milk

Mix all ingredients together. Add 1 or 2 drops of food coloring if you want.
