1 (3 lb.) cabbage
2 cups water
1½ - 2 lbs. ground beef
2 c. white rice, prepared separately
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
½ tsp. salt/pepper to taste
½ liter of Vernon's ginger ale soda
½ bottle ketchup
46 oz. of tomato sauce (yes, this is correct)

Prep: Cut cabbage into chunks after cleaning and coring. Chop onion, brown ground beef, and cook rice.

In a large stock pot, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring frequently to avoid sticking. Cook together for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Turn down heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until liquid has cooked away. Add salt and pepper to taste.
