Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 15 oz cans Ranch Style Beans
1 pkg mesquite smoked sausage, premium quality such as Blue Ribbon
1 medium onion, diced
1 bell pepper, any color, diced
¼ cup maple syrup
¼ cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250ª F.

Drain beans.

While beans are draining, peel and chop sausage into small pieces. The better the quality of sausage, the easier it will be to peel, so if it doesn’t peel easily, get as much off as you can. Brown in skillet and drain.

In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring with spoon. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes, to let the sugar melt. If beans seem a little dry, add more brown sugar and syrup.

Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours. Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
These beans are a hit with everyone. Seriously, I have never met anyone who didn't love this dish - even my brother that HATES beans of any kind. The brown sugar and syrup should be adjusted to taste.
