Cut Out Cookies Recipe

½ c. shortening
½ c. butter
1½ c. sugar
3 eggs
3½ c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, butter and sugar with mixer. Add eggs and mix. Mix in flour with other ingredients. Chill overnight.

Roll out on floured board and cut out. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Decorate with prepared frosting or powdered sugar icing.
