Refried Beabs

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 bag Pinto beans
1/2 or 1/4 onion in chunks
Salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Fill crock pot half full with cleaned pinto beans
Add water 3 inches above beans
Salt to taste
Add onion
Cook for several hours until beans are soft. (I usually cook it overnight).
Add a little water if it looks like it needs it after it's been cooking for a couple of hours.
You can eat beans whole, or mash them with a potato masher. I usually mash them and let them cool. I then put them in a small container and freeze to use when I need them.
