1 (16-oz.) loaf French bread, cut into in. slices
8 large eggs
3 cups half-and-half
cup firmly packed light-brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla extract
tsp. salt

Pecan Streusel
1 cup butter, softened
cup firmly packed light-brown sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Arrange bread slices in a greased 13-x-9-in. baking dish.

Combine eggs and next 5 ingredients in a large bowl, whisking until well-blended. Pour egg mixture over bread slices. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350.

Pecan Streusel
Combine first 4 ingredients in a small bowl; stir in pecans. Makes 3 cups.

Sprinkle Pecan Streusel over bread slices. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes until slightly puffed and golden. May serve with maple syrup.
