1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup melted shortening
2 egg yolks beaten
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 cup milk
2 stiffly beaten egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Combine yolks, milk, and shortening; stir into dry ingredients. Fold in egg whites. Bake in hot waffle iron. Don't raise lid while baking. When steam is all gone they are done.
