Yeast Rolls


Ingredients:

1 ½ cups dry yeast
5 cups warm water
5 tsp. sugar

1.Dissolve and set aside
2.Mix and cream well

5 cups sugar
9Tbls salt
2 cups water
3 lb shortenting
2 cups dry eggs

3.Add yeast to creamed mixture
4.Add 24 cups lukewarm water and 4 cups powdered. Mix well

5.Add 25 lb all purpose flour a little at a time, mixing after each addition

6.Roll out on floured surface. ut with biscuit cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet. 7.Brush tops with melted butter. Set in a warm place to rise.
7. Bake 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes

This is the recipe used when I worked at Hancock County High School. I worked in the cafeteria for 27 years. The students and faculty looked forward the Tuesdays when we would have hot rolls.
