Personal Notes:
Many years ago I found this recipe posted in the Grand Rapids Press newspaper. The recipe comes from Harbor House Inn which is a bed and breakfast in Grand Haven. I've tried several recipes for caramels but this one is the best. These have become a family favorite especially during the Fall and Christmas season. They make a great gift. Wrapping them seems to be the hardest part so a little help with this makes it go faster. Also I would suggest you purchase some 6 x 6 inch wax paper squares from Amazon to make your life a little easier!
