2 cups sugar
1 lb butter
½ cup water
1 cup chopped almonds (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the above in a heavy pan. Place over a hot burner stirring constantly for about 10 minutes. After it comes to a boil cook to medium brown and smokes a little. Pour into a 11x15 pan liberally sprayed with cooking spray.

Place eight 1 oz Hershey bars on top spread out over mixture. Very carefully spread the chocolate as it melts so it covers the whole toffee.

Sprinkle with ¾ cup of finely ground walnuts or pecans.
Let cool. Then take butter knife to gently press down to break into pieces. Store in airtight container in cool place.
