Pork and Apples Recipe

1 ¼ lb pork loin cutlets
1 tsp ground cumin
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground ginger
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
2 large apples(1 red delicious, 1 golden delicious)
1 tsp sugar

Place pork on wax paper. Mix cumin, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and ginger and sprinkle over both sides of pork.

Core apples and cut into ½" thick wedges.

Melt butter in skillet over med/high heat and cook pork on both sides until browned and cooked through. Remove pork to platter and cover to keep warm.

Reduce heat to medium, to the drippings in the skillet add apples, and sprinkle with sugar. Turn frequently and cook until tender.

Pour remaining juices on the pork and spoon apples on top of pork.

Excellent with rice.

Mom had a recipe similar to this one growing up and it always reminded me of a "Brady Bunch" episode where one of the boys referred to pork chops and applesauce. This is an easy dish but has big flavors.
