1 lb. Italian sausage (preferably hot)
1 c. chopped white onion
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. oregano
½ tsp.basil
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. sugar
2 24 oz. jars pasta sauce (your preference)
3 cups shredded 4 cheese Italian blend
40 frozen cheese ravioli

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º .In a large saucepan, brown sausage and onion
Add pasta sauce and stir. Add sugar and spices to sauce mix and simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Set aside. Line bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish with 1½ cups sauce mix. Cover sauce with 5 rows of 4 raviolis. Cover ravioli with half of the remaining sauce. Sprinkle 1½ cups of shredded cheese over the sauce. Add second layer of ravioli and cover with remaining sauce. Top with remaining cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 50 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes.Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes before serving.
