12 eggs
1 lb butter
2 cups sugar
4 cups flour
2 lbs raisins( currents)
1/2 lb citron
1/2 lb fruit
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 lb candied cherries and pineapple
1 lb blanched almonds and pecans
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tsp nutmeg
3/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
combine all fruit with the orange juice and let set 1 hour

cream butter and sugar with the spices. Beat egg yolks one at a time gradually work in the flour and baking powder. Add chopped nuts and mix by hand working in the egg whites that have been beaten to stiff peaks.
Add fruit

Bake 250 for 3 hours
leave in pans to cool
soak cheese cloth in apricot brandy and wrap the fruit cakes - seal in airtight containers and let set at least 2 weeks.
