Base:

1 cup flour
1 cup oats
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, room temperature


Filling:

2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup drained, chopped, maraschino cherries, reserve juice
2 tbsp flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped and drained maraschino cherries
1/2 chopped pecans

Frosting:

1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 cups powdered sugar
3-4 tablespoons reserved cherry juice

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Crust: Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and baking powder. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Press evenly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs slightly. Add brown sugar and beat well. Stir in almond extract, coconut, chopped maraschino cherries, flour, baking powder, salt and nuts. Mix until combined. Spread over baked base. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until center is set. Remove and allow to cool completely before frosting.

Frosting: In the bowl of an electric mixer combine the butter, extract, powdered sugar and reserved cherry juice and mix until smooth. Spread evenly over cooled top
