¾ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp molasses
2 cups flour
½ tsp allspice
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
½ tsp mace
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
¾ cup sour milk ( add 2 tbsp lime juice to milk and let set)
1 cup raisins
½ cup mixed peel

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350º
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and molasses. Stir in dry ingredients alternating with milk
Fold in fruit.
Spoon batter into paper lined muffin tin and bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
