Ingredients: 1 c flour ½ t salt ⅓ c Crisco (butter-flavored shortening stick) ½ c shredded cheddar cheese 2-4 T milk

Directions:Mix flour with salt in mixing bowl. Cut in shortening and cheese until particles are size of small peas. Sprinkle milk over mixture while stirring with fork until dough holds together. Wrap in wax paper; refrigerate while making filling. |

Ingredients: 1 T margarine 1 T ch. onion 1 T flour 1/4 c milk 1/4 t salt dash powdered marjoram, thyme, pepper 12 oz. can white tuna, drained and flaked 2 T minced parsley 1 egg, beaten

Directions: |
Directions:Melt margarine in pan; saute onion until tender. Blend in flour; milk, and salt and spices. Bring to a boil, stirring; remove from heat. Stir in tuna, parsley, and egg. Set aside.
Roll out pastry on floured surface to 12x7" rectangle. Spread filling lengthwise down center Moisten edges with fingertips dipped in water. Pinch edges of long side together over filling; seal ends. Place, seam side down, on Pam sprayed cookie sheet. Prick with fork several times to allow steam to escape. Bake 35-40 min. at 400 F. If you want, serve with mushroom sauce, but it's good without it. |

Ingredients: 1/2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms or 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained. 1/4 c margarine 1/4 c flour 1 can chicken broth or bouillon 1/2 c cream, half-and-half, or milk 2 T parsley dash pepper

Directions:Saute mushrooms in margarine until hot. Cover, simmer 5 min. on low heat. Blend in flour with whisk. Add broth, stirring until smooth. Stir in cream, salt, parsley, and pepper. Heat just until mixture simmers. |
