1 3/4C cake and pastry flour
1tbsp Baking Powder
1tsp Salt
3/4C White Sugar
6 Egg yolks
1/2C Oil
3/4C fresh Orange Juice
2tbsp grated Orange rind
7 Egg whites
1/2tsp Cream of Tartar
3/4C White Sugar


GLAZE
2C Icing Sugar
1tbsp soft Butter
2-4tbsp Orange Juice
2tsp grated Orange rind

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder salt and 1/2C sugar in large mixing bowl

Stir to blend

Add oil, egg yolks orange juice and rind

Beat with electric mixer until smooth, about 30seconds

Beat in smaller bowl, egg whites, and cream of tartar to form stiff, but moist peaks

Gradually add 3/4C sugar, beating until stiff and shiny peaks are formed

Fold egg whites into egg yolk mixture gently but thoroughly

Turn batter into ungreased 10-inch tube pan

Bake 350F for 60mins OR until toothpick inverted in centre comes out clean

Invert and cool completely in pan

When cool, loosen edges and shake out


GLAZE
Combine icing sugar, butter, orange juice and rind, beat until smooth

Use just enough orange juice to make a glaze consistency

Pour over top of cake spreading quickly before glaze sets

Let glaze drizzle down sides of cake

Garnish with fresh orange slices
