4 1 in. slices of Yeast Free Wheat Bread, cut into 1 in chunks.
8 eggs
8 oz. light cream cheese, cut into 1/2 in. cubes
6 tbsp. melted butter or margarine
2 1/2 cups lactose-free milk
1/4 cup maple syrup
Light whipped cream

Directions:

Bake a loaf of Yeast Free Wheat Bread ahead of time and allow to cool.
Grease a 2 1/2 - 3 quart baking dish
Place half the bread cubes in the dish. Top with cream cheese cubes, and then the remaining bread cubes.
Combine eggs, milk, melted margarine or butter and syrup. Mix well and pour over bread and cheese cubes.
Using a spatula, lightly press down on the layers to moisten.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours (no more than 24)
Remove plastic wrap and bake in the oven or air fryer for 35 to 40 minutes until set and golden brown.
Top with sugar-free syrup or your choice of syrup and a dollop of whipped cream.
