Apples, Peeled and Sliced
4 1/2 Cup Sugar
2/3 Cup Cornstarch
1 Tsp.Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
1 Tsp. Salt
10 Cups Water

Canning Jars with lids and seals

3 T. Lemon Juice after mixture is hot.

Directions:

Add apples slices to pint jar. Do not over pack. Leave 1/2 head room.

In large pot combine all the ingredients. Cook until thick & bubbles on top. Stir often to keep from sticking. Add lemon juice now. Pour syrup over apples to fill jars. Add lids and seal. Process jars in boiling water in canner for 20 minutes.

Empty one Apple pie filling quart jar in deep dish pie shell. Bake for 1 hour.
