¾ cup icing sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
¼ cup butter
1 T. hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Rub the butter with the back of a spoon until very creamy. Stir in the sugar gradually. Stir in the vanilla gradually. Stir in the hot water a few drops at a time to prevent separation of the sauce. Pile lightly in a serving dish, chill thoroughly. Garnish with nutmeats, candied cherries or a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
