Caramel Popcorn Brownies Recipe

1 package of brownie mix
¼ c water
¼ c vegetable oil
1 egg
3 c popped popcorn
½ c peanuts (optional)
½ c chocolate chips
½ c peanut butter chips (optional, if you choose not to use, add a full cup of chocolate chips))
½ c butter, softened
½ c brown sugar

Preheat oven to 325º
Grease 9x13 baking dish

Stir brownie mix, water, oil, and egg together in a bowl and pour brownie mixture in a prepared (aka butter or "Pam" the pan) baking dish.

Spread popcorn over brownie batter and lightly press into batter. Sprinkle peanuts, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips over the popcorn.

Melt butter in sauce pan and whisk in brown sugar. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly and cook until the mixture has a thin caramel texture (bout 3 minutes). Immediately drizzle over popcorn mixture.

Bake 30-35 minutes before cutting into bars.
