1 stick of butter
11/2 cups of self rising flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 quart of your favorite berries, peaches, apples (for peaches and apples you may want to sprinkle in a touch of cinnamon )

Directions:

preheat oven to 350 m
melt butter in 9 X 13 pan
stir together flour, sugar, and baking powder
mix milk and vanilla into dry ingredients
put fruit in pan on top of melted butter
pour batter over fruit , do not stir
bake for approx. 1 hour till the top is browned to your liking
serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping or serve cool (it's all good)
