1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugars. Add eggs, peanut butter and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Then add to wet ingredients. Drop from teaspoon onto oiled baking sheet. Press down with fork. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.

Alternative: Use crunchy peanut butter, or 1 cup salted peanuts.
