From “Mary’s Whole Life” Blog
For the sloppy joes:
• 1Tbsp avocado or olive oil
• 1 lb grassfed ground beef
• ½ red onion, diced, or 2 Tbsp chopped onion flakes
• 2-4 cloves of garlic, minced
• 1-2 Tbsp tomato paste
• ⅔ cup tomato or marinara sauce (Rao’s or other)
• ¼ cup coconut aminos (soy sauce alternative)
• 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard or ½ dijon: ½ mustard mix
• 1 Tbsp hot sauce (Chalua, Siracha, optional)
• 1-2 tsp chili powder
• ½ -1 tsp sea salt or pink salt
• 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
• ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional, I never seem to have these)

Options for your base:
• bread or buns
• broccoli and spaghetti squash
• zucchini noodles

Sloppy Joes:
1) Heat small amount of oil in the pan and add garlic and onion.
2) Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
3) Add remaining sloppy joe ingredients. Stir all together and let simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Spaghetti squash:
1) Heat oven to 400º
2) Cut spaghetti squash into slices so you end up with discs of squash. Clean out the seeds.
3) Optional. Salt both sides and lay them out on paper towels for 10 minutes. Dab off the moisture.
4) Brush or spray them with oil.
5) Lay them on a baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes depending how thick the slices are. You’ll know they’re done when you can take a fork and easily separate the “spaghetti” strands from the inside of the discs.
