Directions:What to do with the “stuff”... Heat 2-3 Tbsp olive oil or coconut oil in a large fry pan. Stir spices and flour together. Dredge beef in flour mix. Brown both sides of beef in pan with hot oil and then put into 9 x 13 baking dish. Add about 1/3 cup of the seasoned flour to the leftover oil & make a roux. I let the oil cool down a bit before I added the flour. Stir the flour into the oil until it is absorbed, then slowly stir in beef broth, gravy mix & onion soup mix cooking until thickened. Taste for seasonings, then pour roux over meat. Cover pan with tin foil. Bake in 300 oven for 3-4 hrs. Then go clean your range top because it’s a greasy oil splattered, gravy splattered mess!!! In the last 1/2 hr of cooking time, remove foil & stir in sliced mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are done. Bite it!!! |

Notes: Nothing more comforting than beefy oven steak that has simmered for about 4 hours low and slow in a delish beefy gravy! The meat is “fork” tender. I served this marvelous thang with parmesan roasted baby potatoes. Super easy! Make this! Bite this! #bitemecanada #funologyoffood #delicioushappenshere
