1 lb ground beef (or turkey) or Buffalo
1 onion, chopped
1 Green pepper, chopped
1 can red kidney beans
1 can of chill beans
2 cans (28oz) san marzano tomatoes
1 can tomatoes paste
2 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp chilli powder
1 tsp red chilli flakes

Optional items
1 can diced chilies

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beef in frying pan with onions.
Add to crockpot with all other ingredients except tomato paste.
Cook on low 6 hours or high for 4 hours.

Add tomato paste at the end and stir.



Serve with sour cream, cheese and rice or baked potato and corn bread.

We love to use a dried bean mixture called Texas beans that we soak overnight, rinse and add to the chili in place of the kidney and chili beans.
