12 large cabbage leaves
1¼ pound ground beef
2 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
1 small onion - chopped
1 egg
1 cup cooked rice
½ tsp. poultry seasoning or thyme
2 Tbsp. pure vegetable oil
2 - 8 oz. can Hunts Tomato Sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
¼ cup water
1 Tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar

Cover cabbage leaves with boiling water & let stand for 5 mins. or until limp. Drain
Brown beef with onion and drain
Add salt, pepper, egg, cooked rice, thyme, and vegetable oil to beef.
Place equal portions of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf.
Fold sides of each leaf over meat and roll up
Fasten with toothpicks or strings
Mix tomato sauce, brown sugar, water and lemon juice together
Simmer cabbage rolls in sauce for 1 hour, basting occasionally
