3 (12 inch) untreated cedar planks (soaked in water for 1 hr.)
⅓ cup vegetable oil
1 ½ tbsp. rice vinegar
1 tsp. sesame oil
⅓ cup soy sauce
¼ cup chopped green onions
1 tbsp. grated fresh ginger root or ginger paste
1 tsp. minced garlic
2 lb. salmon fillets (skin removed)

In a shallow dish or large plastic bag, mix together the vegetable oil, vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, green onions ginger, and garlic. Place in salmon filets and cover and marinate for 15 min to 1 hr. Heat grill to medium heat and place planks on the grate. Boards are ready when the start to smoke a little. Place salmon on planks and grill for about 20 minutes. Fish is done when it flakes.
