Apple Filling:
12 to 15 medium apples cut in eighth's
1 cup Sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp. salt

Topping:
12 tbsp. shortening - 1/2 softened butter, 1/2 shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Apples: Cook apple filling in a sauce pan until soft. Spread in a 9"x13" pan.

Topping: Cream together the filling. Sprinkle over apple mixture.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
