Ingredients:
Filling:
6 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. lemon zest
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Topping:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup milk
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk until a dough forms. Don't over mix.

Cut in butter until mixture is fully incorporated.

In large saucepan stir together blueberries with sugar, water, lemon juice and zest, cinnamon and nutmeg over medium heat and bring to a boil.

Stir in vanilla and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Break off pieces of dumpling dough and drop them softly onto blueberry mixture.

Repeat until dough covers most of blueberries. Cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 25 minutes or until biscuits are cooked through. Don't uncover the biscuits while cooking as this will allow steam to escape and they won't rise as they should.

Uncover and serve hot with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
