2 sticks butter, melted
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 eggs
¾ cup cocoa
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 cup nuts, optional
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Spray 13"x9" baking pan. Put melted butter in a bowl, stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time beating well with spoon after each addition. Add cocoa and beat until well blended. In a small bowl put flour, baking powder and salt, stir to blend then add to cocoa mixture. Stir to blend and add optional nuts. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out almost clean. Brownies should be starting to pull away from sides. Over baking will dry out brownies. Allow to cool on a wire rack. Brownies can be frosted. Cut into 2"x2" squares or desired sizes.
