24 raw shrimp in shells
1/2 cup soy sauce
4 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon minced preserved ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
8 chicken livers, halved
8 slices of bacon, halved

Directions:
Shell shrimp but leave tails on. Remove sand vein. Place shrimps in a glass bowl. Mix soy sauce, sugar, garlic and pepper in a cup; pour over shrimp. Chills 3 minutes, turning several times to season. Drain. Wrap each 1/2 chicken liver with 1/2 slice bacon. Alternately thread shrimp and bacon wrapped livers onto 6 -8 skewers. Place on grill about 5 inches above coals. Grill, turning several times, 6 minutes, or until shrimp are tender and bacon is medium crisp.
