Ingredients: ½2 pkgs frozen chopped spinach ¾ tea. Celery salt ¾ tea. Garlic salt 4 Tbsp. Butter 2 Tbsp. Flour Salt to taste 2 Tbsp. Chopped onion 6 oz. Kraft Velveeta cheese-cut into small cubes ½ cup evaporated milk 2 tea. Finely chopped jalapeño peppers ½ cup vegetable liquor ½ tea. Black pepper 1 tea. Worcestershire sauce Red pepper to taste

Directions:Cook spinach according to directions on package. Drain and reserve liquor. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add flour, stirring until blended and smooth—not brown! Add vegetable liquor slowly, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until smooth and thickens. Add seasonings, peppers, cheese cubes.
Stir until cheese is melted. Stir cheese sauce into spinach. Done!
This may be served immediately or put into a casserole and topped with buttered bread crumbs. The flavor over time and can be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated overnight. This may also be frozen. |
