4 pound chuck roast
10 ounce can of cream of mushroom soup
1 package Lipton onion soup mix
1 large onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
2 cups dry red wine
2 cups water
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients in large covered casserole. Cook at 350 for 3 or more hours.
Optional: add vegetables, potatoes,carrots, celery and mushrooms during last hour of cooking time.
