1 lb raisins boil 2 cups water 15 minutes
Add 1 ½ cups cold water
2 cups sugar- 1 white and 1 brown
½ cup crisco
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 tbls soda
1 tbls cinnamon
¼ tsp cloves
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
4 cups all purpose flour

Boil raisins in 2 cups water for 15 min then add 1 ½ cups cold water Let cool then add other items as follows: sugar, oil, spices, baking power and soda, flour Beat well and put in a greased pan about 9 x 12 in and is good with or without frosting. Bake 350 degrees for 45 min
