1 1/2 cup scalded milk, let warm
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 Tbls. salt
1 1/2 Tbls. sugar
2 yeast packets
2 1/4 cups flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
4 1/2 cups flour
1 stick of butter
2 cups sugar
1 cup cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Take first 7 ingredients mix and let rise 30 minutes.
Add 2 eggs,1/2 cup sugar and 41/2 cups flour. Mix well into dough let rise double.
Roll 1/4" thick rectangle, spread out room temperature butter, over the complete top.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon(raisins if desired).
Roll up and press edges in tight. Cut into 1/2" thick pieces, let rise good and light.
Place on a sheet pan about an inch apart as they will grow together. Let rise 30 minutes and then bake 20 to 30 minutes for 350º.
Place icing on after it has cooled until warm.
Icing.
3 cups powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup milk
Blend sugar and butter, adding milk until smooth
