3 tbsp butter or margarine
⅔ c minced onions
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1½ tsp salt
dash pepper
1½ c milk
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
paprika for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
About1½hrs before serving:Preheat oven to375º.In medium sauce pan over medium heat,in hot butter or margarine,cook onions until tender,about5minutes.Stir in flour,salt &pepper until blended.Gradually stir in milk&cook,stirring constantly,until mixture thickens.
In2qt baking dish,arrange½the potatoes in a layer;pour½the sauce on top;repeat. Sprinkle with paprika.Bake,covered,45minutes.Uncover&bake15minutes or until tender.
