½ c. shortening
1 c. sugar
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. lemon extract
½ tsp. salt
2 eggs - beaten
2 tbsp. milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, nutmeg, lemon extract, salt
Add 2 beaten eggs
Mix in milk
Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda
Mix well

Drop onto a greased cookie sheet (using about a tsp. amount of batter)
Then, flatten with a glass covered with a damp cloth

Sprinkle top of cookies with sugar

Cook for 10-12 minutes
