1 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vegetable (or canola) oil
1 can corn, drained
confectionery sugar (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Before mixing ingredients, heat 1” oil in pan to 375 degrees. Combine all ingredients except for corn; mix until well blended. Add corn. Drop by tablespoon into pre-heated oil and cook for 5 minutes, turning occasionally. Sprinkle with confectionery sugar (if desired) and serve immediately.
