1 - sponge cake
1 jar - raspberry jam
½ cup - sherry
1 package - vanilla instant pudding
2 cups - milk
½ pint - whipping cream, whipped
Strawberries, raspberries
Slivered almonds, toasted

Directions:
Directions:
1. Split sponge cake into 1½ inch layers and spread each half with raspberry jam. Put cake together again and it into cubes.
2. Place in a crystal bowl and dampen with ¼ cup of the sherry - enough to flavour the cake but not to make it soggy.
3. Place sliced strawberries around the inside of the bowl.
4. Prepare pudding mix according to the package directions and fold in the remaining sherry.
5. Whip cream and fold ¼ of it into the pudding.
6. Pour pudding over cake cubes.
7. Heap remaining whipped cream on top.
8. Garnish with berries and toasted almonds.
9. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.
