Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 - lb butter
2 - cups white sugar
1 cup - sliced or slivered almonds

Topping
1 cup - chocolate chips
cup - crushed walnuts or crushed almonds

Directions:
Directions:
1. Put butter and sugar in a heavy saucepan on medium high heat. Stir continually with wooden spoon until mixtire is blended and has the color and consistency of dark toffee. Should take about 10 minutes.
2. When it's the right colour, take off heat and quickly stir in almonds. Pour onto cookie sheet. Smooth out mixture into corners.
3. Sprinkle chocolate chips over mixture in pan and spread them with a spatula as they melt. Sprinkle crushed nuts on top and press into chocolate with a clean spatula so they don't fall off.
4. When cool, take the corners of the pan and bend it - the candy will lift up. Grab a corner and start breaking into pieces. Store in any kind of container (if you have any left at this point).
