4 cups walnuts (1 lb)
2 tbsp butter or oil
4 tbsp soy sauce
½ cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Boil walnuts in 1 quart water for 2-3 minutes. Drain quickly. Heat butter in skillet; add nuts, stir to toast, then sprinkle with soy sauce and sugar. Heat, stirring until nuts are coated and deep brown. Dry on waxed paper in slow oven. When cool, store in a paper bag.
